20 GoodGymers ran 6k to Grenville Community Garden to chop, dig, tie and create!
A chilly May evening with the company of new GoodGym Leicester trainer David.
Heading off to get warm lead by DJ Pat with a quick joint mobilisation and muscle activation outside the Emirates stadium before we powered up hill to meet Sarah at the Grenville Community garden. Splitting up into units we tackled some tricky tasks. A couple of groups digging trenches for two stretches of low fencing. We have the hotel creators makes a home for millions of insects with wooden palettes, broken pots, soil, sticks and plastic pot wall paper.
The next unit got fully involved hacking down brambles, Ivy and anything else that got in their way. The final and calm group went daffodil tying to keep the flowers healthy for next year.
A few pro pictures from Olly and an action shot of as we left got us rolling down hill back to base with a little Emirates detour for a Fartlek loop of the stadium.
A short run back with a stretch out and the announcement that Simon is signed up for his first Marathon in the Autumn so needs all your encouragement in pursuit of dominating 26.2!!
Good luck to everyone in Riga over the weekend!!
See you all next Monday for some more running and community minded fun!!
