Luton Visually Impaired Runners are meeting twice weekly at the athletics track and are working their way through a couch to 5k training plan. I ran alongside a V I runner matching their paces through a series of walk and run intervals over a 30 minutes session. It was fun and chatty to the point where our focus on the interval timings went a little astray. The athletics track is a shared space, simultaneously in use by a variety of clubs and some of those runners were extremely fast, so being aware of the surroundings and navigating lane changes was interesting. I hope to become more familiar and more useful on this mission and turn out on a regular basis.
