Top of the Pots
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Wednesday, 12th of August 2020
Ms C’s location is right next door to my work, so reckoned it’d be a perfect sneaky lunch hour task!
Ms C has had help repotting plants before, and now she’s had a new delivery. She warned that the last person needed much longer than an hour, so I said I’d do what I could in the time.
However, before I’d gotten to pottin’, she also wanted some help deciphering medical instructions to prep for a hospital procedure that she’s anxious about. We quickly established that she’d gotten the days a bit muddled, and that the prep should be done 24h before (i.e tomorrow, not today), and I wrote out the instructions more clearly for her.
Ms C has a lovely balcony garden thanks to previous volunteers! I managed to rehome 12 new baby herbs, but didn’t have time(thyme?) to do the 12 perennials before I had to dash off. The midday heat was also like a blanket and I was basically a human puddle by that point too.
Apologies, and I hope she can find someone to finish the job!
