To me, to you!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Friday, 17th of April 2020
Lovely sunny morning for a cycle down to Crofton Park, where Jacqueline was waiting for me in order to begin our task - moving 2 big pieces of furniture so that Mrs P’s hospital bed can be moved into the house, making it possible for her to be discharged.
We made light (actually, very heavy) work of a wooden chest of drawers, which needed dismantling and PIVOOOOTing up the stairs to the bedroom, before being reassembled. The very large wooden cabinet and drawers was a more intimidating task, but with a lot of sliding and lifting (bending our knees not our backs of course), we got it out into the garden shed to create a lot of extra space in the house.
Mrs P’s son, having directed our movements, was very grateful to Goodgym for the help and off we trotted into the morning sunshine!
