Through the Letterbox...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.
- Monday, 1st of June 2020
After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing as to which parts of Mr M's prescription still needed collecting, the mission went ahead to pick up one outstanding item from the Boots on Piccadilly Circus - my first time into Central London in quite a while...and was it quiet.
Fortunately the pharmacist was eventually able to track down the one item for Mr M, and with bag in hand it was a short walk through an empty Leicester Square to find his home. He was expecting me and when I got to his front door, he was already standing the other side. We made a series of gestures to each other to say "thank you" and "you're welcome" through the glass panel - not quite advanced level charades, but I think we understood each other.
He motioned for me to push the bag through his letterbox, and with that, and a few more random thumbs up and a wave goodbye, it was back into the sun and the deserted streets.

Great mission Nick. Very odd to see central London so quiet.
