There’s snow stopping us planting up a storm
3 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Hounslow.

What a way to start a sunday, could we be any wetter? Well yes actually we could. Although this morning's foreboding skies soon led to a deluge of rain in West London luckily as it happened the downpour ended just as we met our task owners on Turnham Green.
Kathleen and Jan from the Friends of Turnham Green were waiting patiently with tools at the rockery, still with hope that GoodGym would answer the call for help, despite the weather and so we did.
Jon, Kash and I were given a short briefing and demonstration of where to plant half a dozen bags of snowdrop bulbs. We got to work planting the bulbs in groups around the trees that line the Green.
Kash had already been out on a morning mission litter-picking in Ealing and was not to be deterred by the wet weather.
After a productive hour we had each planted a bag of bulbs, to add to those planted a couple of weeks ago and earlier in the spring when we helped out at the memorial garden.
It wasn’t a complete washout and the soft damp soil was perfect for planting. After an hour we got together for a photo and said goodbye to Jan and Kathleen until the spring.
