Today we were edging the borders which was as good as any gym workout. Using an assortment of tools we made great progress and what a difference it made. We stopped for an earlier than usual break as the park began filling up with lots and lots of school children and we were in their way. It turns out that they were all here to listen to Nick Sharratt's read his book 'There's a Shark in the Park'. Unfortunately, he was a no show as had been exposed to covid. Stepping in to the breach was the mobile librarian who soon had the children's attention and involvement. The Mayor and Mayoress were also in attendance along with the Shark!! (one of the adults gamely walking around with a plastic fin on their head). It was very tempting to down tools and listen to the story, but we cracked on and made really good progress. It's an ongoing task as the whole park needs to be done. The park generally is looking lovely but still needs a little bit more rain.
