Friday Hub at ESK and first shift for Pritha. Her comments after a successful mission. It was really good to meet the local community and help out as much as possible. As new starter, Angela put Pritha on the tea and coffee station with Sonna. Tea service until 12:30pm. As for Steph who was in early was in the kitchen today and was one of the Chefs assistants until the end of the day. Chop chop chop : Steph had loads to βοΈ and grate from cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, potatoes, beans, carrots which were used for the starters and the main courses. Peeling was involved and different chopping techniques were used like real chefs do. Lemons were squeezed in the process. We had some tears todays...not because of the onions, but because it was one of the volunteers last shift, as going back to Hong Kong. Angela will be missed in the kitchen. Next was peeling and cutting the beautiful and succulent mango π₯ for the desserts. Loads of smells in the kitchen and of course we had to taste most of the dishes we prepared : yummy in our tummies. Then π₯ time was here for us to serve the guests as it was 1pm already.
