The Rug-cats move-ie
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Sunday, 7th of August 2022
Today I met up with Anne for a mission in Camden for Mrs R.
Mrs R had a small carpet to be removed from her flat, and needed some help moving some boxes off the carpet, rolling up the carpet, and returning the boxes to their original position. She is unable to do this herself as a result of her current mobility.
After making our introductions, we were about to start shifting boxes when a tiny little devil rushed into the hallway: Mrs R had recently adopted two 12 week old kittens, and they were determined to make their presence known! Mrs R moved them to separate rooms, and Anne and I returned to work.
The rumors that Anne did most of the box shifting may be entirely true. This is because I was primarily focused on the much more important task of showing Mrs R pictures of my own cat. I did, however, step up for the rug-rolling aspect of the task, as the underneath of the carpet left a lot of debris, and I could pop into work almost immediately afterwards to clean up.
Rug-rolled, cats removed, and boxes replaced, Anne and I said our goodbyes to Mrs R, taking the carpet out to the communal bins on the way.
Hopefully see you again soon, Anne! :)
