The recline of western civilisation
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Thursday, 25th of February 2021
Andrew ran from Islington and I cycled from the Isle of Dogs to meet in the depths of the Barbican at lunchtime today. We were tasked with the removal of a recliner chair, which on the face of it didn't seem all that tricky but you never know when it comes to other people's furniture.
We easily found the flat and identified the chair, which was in superb condition, and the hardest part of removing it was getting it out of the room initially as it had a very narrow entrance but with some creative thinking and enthusiastic manoeuvring we had it outside and in the lift to the basement in only a few minutes.
Quickly we established where it needed to be left and with a combination of wheeling and lifting it was quickly in place, and just before departing Andrew took the opportunity to enjoy some very brief respite (on the newly located chair) before his jog back home.

Nice report Leo (not sure how I agreed to have my picture taken under a bulky household items sign 😄)
Well done both! Great run report, too :)
