The longest titled run ever…
5 GoodGymers made their way 10km in a race in Sheffield.
- Sunday, 9th of July 2017
- Led by Tom Mutton
5 runners took part in the (deep breath) “Vitality Move Jessica Ennis-Hill’s Running Festival at Chatsworth”, near Sheffield on Sunday.
Supporting Sam was on hand early to help with the set up and ensure that anyone taking part who needed a bag looking after was not disappointed.
There were multiple events on offer during the day ranging from Music Miles, a 5k and two runnings of the intimidating 10k.
Speedy Susan was way out ahead of the other goodgym folk taking part but missed out on the to-ing and fro-ing between Climbing Caroline and Stealthy Steve. Hasty Hannah took part in the 5k later in the morning.
Everyone taking part had to face the prospect of climbing the Ennis-HILL (see what they did there?) and despite some rather confusing explanations of the climb and it’s seven levels, managed to make it to the top and continue on the course to be treated to a mixture of trail, path, hay, steel drum bands and energetic supporters. The course concluded with each finisher being paraded across the main stage and a brief encounter with DJ Trevor Nelson before a compulsory photo and finally getting that much needed post-race bottle of water!
