The Jolly and the Ivy
10 GoodGymers made their way to help the The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in Tower Hamlets.

No fewer than 10 GoodGymers met in St George's Park, Shadwell, this evening for Part 2 of a three-part task with the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.
We were here to lend the team a hand cutting back rose bushes so access to the borders can be gained.
With seven saws and four pairs of loppers, Terry had come well prepared. Donning gloves, and giving ourselves plenty of space, we worked our way along this area of the gorgeous gardens, sawing and felling and cutting back these beautiful bushes.
As always, the team finished in no time, ready for us to move onto our second - and third - task. Heading to the southern area of the park, half the team proceeded to remove an old fence, while the others formed a small team moving more laurel over to the piles from last week.
As we still had a few minutes to spare, even after all this activity, we enjoyed one final push ridding the edge of this part of the park of a lot of ivy.
75 minutes well spent team!
After posing for a few final pictures, and some last minute chats, we headed home/to the pub, pleased with what we'd achieved and already looking forward to next week.
A big shout-out tonight to Darren, who joined us for his first GoodGym event. Absolutely great to have you join the team, Darren. And to Fiona, who came up with tonight's fun pun.
Next week, we head to Twelvetrees Crescent, in the Devon's Road area, with Ken and Terry again, to plant some trees...
Until then.
