Mission

The Icelandic cupboard was nearly bare...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

Ms A presented me with her neatly written list, ready to roll trusty trolley and a brief explanation on the "deal" to save a few pennies when buying the herbs she wanted. With all relevant information taken on board, it was a short walk to her local and now familiar Iceland...where, much to my disappointment it proved a bit of a challenge to find all the items on Ms A's list.

6 litres of water was no problem, but when it came to the semi-skimmed milk, herbs and the teacakes the shelves were pretty bare of the exact items she wanted.

As with everything at the moment, and fortunately not requiring long into the night negotiations or protracted disputes over wording, a suitable compromise was made to ensure I could return to Ms A with her trolley mostly full and which would hopefully keep her suitably fed and watered for another week.
