The best that money can Pie...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Friday, 3rd of December 2021
It's been a while since I last shopped for understated GoodGym Guardian newspaper article hero Mr A, so it was good to have a quick doorstep chat with him and find out how he's been getting on before heading out to his local Sainsbury's for a tour of the shelves with his neatly written list in hand.
Mr A gave me strict instruction that he wanted the "large apple pie that comes in a box", and not "the smaller ones", so that became a mission within the mission that I was determined not to let him down on.
Fortunately the Apple Pie was easy to find, but the shelves were lacking a few other items from Mr A's list (no mash to be found anywhere...), and a bit of substitution shopping had to take place to ensure he got as full a basket as possible. As always Mr A was as grateful as ever when I got back to his front door and it was very much "until the next time" when we bid each other goodbye.
