After the week of weather warnings no-one was quite sure if today would happen, but with our new friends at Penarth growing community we braved the wet.

After a rainy, yet very refreshing cycle to Penarth it was time to get started. As soon as we began the weather changed, with the rain subsiding and a lovely break in the clouds.

Our task today to fill three newly made raised beds for the new project, this was a part of the Kymin park that I had somehow never managed to notice before. With plenty of space I'm sure that there will be more tasks coming our way to help with...

Between us we were shoveling the soil, piled up on the pathway, into two wheelbarrows. Then, moving the wheelbarrows up the ramp and then lifting to fill up the raised beds. The largest of the three was the first one to tackle, and we did.

In just over an hour we managed to fill all of the planters, rake them off and clear up - as if they were filled by magic.

Any passers-by will now be intrigued as to what is coming next???

And just as we were done, the rain began once more. Until next time!
