Tetris Time
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.
- Sunday, 24th of March 2019
Nicky and I met up in the Sunday afternoon sunshine to give Mrs M a hand sorting out some bits and pieces in her house. It turned out to be a version of 3D Tetris, which I'm sure has some mileage as an exercise concept in itself...,
The main thing was to access some useful items from a cupboard under the stairs, difficult not to think of Harry Potter in these circumstances - some magic in shifting heavy boxes out of a tight corner would have come in handy. In reality, we first had to clear a way to the cupboard by taking things from the living room to the garden, then we could empty contents from the cupboard into the living room. Useful items retrieved, everything then went back in, sorting out the clothes from everything else so they could be washed . Along the way, we also managed to get a desk upstairs and switch around a couple of chairs between rooms, maneuvering round some book cases and a yet to be installed oven. All in all a really good workout and Mrs M was very pleased - exactly why we came!
Great to meet you Nicky and hope to see you again on another mission one day ☺
