Session times are very loose at Frenford Food Bank as they are very grateful for any assistance they get. People come to help anytime between 5pm and 9pm.
AJ had cycled up super early and was already into sorting out the toiletries which always get messed up.🤷🏼♀️ James and Linda arrived shortly after and started preparing the area for the session ahead. Soon we were in the swing of picking and packing when Helen arrived and after a quick refresher was quickly pulling her weight with the team. Our Kathryn slipped in as soon as she could after a hard days work and joined in the slog.
Pretty soon we were finished with the packing and had time for a very quick tea break before being called to assist the drivers with loading. By this time a couple of us were starting to flag a bit but we assisted with some of the shelf filling before calling it a day. At this point we passed Louise who was arriving and was a welcome fresh face amongst the remaining Frenford team she took over assisting the later drivers and did more shelf filling in preparation for the next day.
I forgot to take Louise and James' photos so here is a cute one from the last group activity they did. 😁
