Another busy session for GoodGymers. The kitchen team were missing a couple so Martin and Gill were kept busy with the two Foodcycle volunteers preparing another delicious meal. Martin “manfully” volunteered to peel the carrots but realising that Gill would need 5 kilos of them. She was soon grating them and mashing them with a selection of beans, onions and breadcrumbs with added egg to make some carrot and bean burgers. Martin then got started on the noodles fur and Asian salad starter and finally jumped on the dessert section to help prepare a the fruit salad. We were really pleased to welcome a GoodGym newbie to the hosting team this evening. Yazed had arrived to help on the hosting team and soon got busy setting table and getting out the cups and glasses. He was joined by Abdo and Derrick other GoodGym FoodCycle regulars. Yet again we were inundated with hungry guests, but everyone enjoyed a filling meal and they even had bags of produce to take home with them. Abdo and Yazed then did a grand job up to their elbows in water doing the washing up.

Well done team, another successful meal cooked and served. It couldn’t have happened with the fabulous support from GoodGym.
