#SWEENG, Hedge Your Bets.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.
- Saturday, 7th of July 2018
Steve and I arrived to the mission a little bit early, but were quickly welcomed into the back garden. Our tasks were to trim the hedges in the garden, all of which were a little bit overgrown. We were given two trimmers, a pair of loppers and a ladder, working as we chatted to Mr and Mrs J and their daughter.
We made quick work of the first bit of hedge. Steve took over the trimmer for the 'big' hedge, while I cleared up all the branches and leaves that were being sheared off. Taking great care not to touch the important greengage tree, the big hedge was eventually tamed.
After a bit of banter about the England match, Steve's Irishness and whether he and I were related, we bagged up the waste and said our goodbyes.
