16 Runners do some Circuits at the Colchester and Tendring Women's Refuge on International Women's Day
After attending the amazing Goodgym partners breakfast at the BT Tower I was in a Goodgym buzz, and having realised it was International Women's Day, was best pleased that the task we'd arranged was for the Colchester and Tendring Women's refuge.
Geneva brought Graham for his first run, and Geneva claimed it wasn't only to earn some red laces (I'm not sure if we believe him).
This was planned as one of our smaller tasks, as with the Colchester Half Marathon coming up this weekend, with two thirds of us running it, we don't want to get too tired ahead of the race.
Since it was such a small task, we split into 3 groups - 1 group was doing the task of tidying up the car park. One group was doing a body weight exercise circuit, and the final group was doing a stretch. Each group had 3 minutes of each, and the task was perfectly finished within that time.
After this, we went inside the refuge offices to learn a bit more about the work they do before making our way back to Leisure World, where we had a longer than usual cool down stretch again to make sure we're nice and limber ahead of the Colchester Half on Sunday.
Next week we'll be doing a task for The Cannons. Sign up here
