Wayne, Anne, Rebecca, Holly and Adam met outside Woking Leisure Centre in the glorious sunshine to run the 1.25k to Woking Food Bank.
There they were met by James and Katie, James sporting an injured leg and Katie having already run nearly 5k including avoiding a fallen tree blocking the canal path.
The Food Bank is one of our favourite tasks as many hands make light work and we quickly hoovered and mopped the floors. We also had an additional task of sorting the carrier bags. The lovely Alison who runs the Food Bank told us that there were double the number of customers that day due to Ukrainian refugees making the most of the service until they find jobs and receive financial support.
The GoodGym team were heartened to be able to volunteer for such a great cause and can't wait to be back cleaning the Food Bank next time. We finished with a traditional photo on the stairs."
