After a busy morning of GoodGymming, a return visit to Mrs J provided me with another great reminder of why I love missions so much.

The sun was out, Mrs J was on great form - she couldn’t remember my name but knew that I’d been there before - as we chatted through a plan for her garden. I had to remind her that I’m not a gardening expert, so she told me what to get rid of from her borders and then left me to it whilst she pottered and made some coffee.

When she returned she wondered who was in the garden with me, not realising that it was one of her many ornaments - we both had a good laugh about that 😂

We often talk and wonder a lot about impact of various mission tasks, particularly gardening ones, where the impact can be subjective. Whilst I often think about the impact on the beneficiary, I rarely consider the impact on myself. Today I felt delighted to be able to do this and a wonderful sense of wellbeing ☺️
