Summer in the City (Harvest)
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the City Harvest in Ealing.
- Saturday, 3rd of August 2019
- Led by Liv Parker-Scott
City Harvest are an inspiring charity feeding those in need in London from homeless shelters, refugee centres and food banks. They are a sleek operation of volunteers receiving donations from super markets and even Amazon, organising, refrigerating and delivering across London with rapid turn around times.
Six Goodgym runners got stuck in for 2 hours on Saturday and felt proud to be part of the “supply chain”!
The unexpected bonus.. food with today’s use-by-date that was designated for the food bin was offered up to us! Not wishing to see food go to waste, we each benefited from a cheeky swag bag for the “run” home!
