Welcome to Gabriella and Sarah! Give them a cheer / follow. What an evening to join us on, our 10th Wednesday night run and a great sorting task at the foodbank.
It was a document check full house tonight with our two new members as well as Angela & Laura getting their docs checked. We should have a good few people for mission runs now so hopefully we will get some fun requests.
It was a short run down to the foodbank with our own donations, plus some "peachy" bicep curls by the traffic lights. Carly and her daughter put us to work sorting out the donations that had come in during the day and re-sorting all the pet food. We made quick work of that so we were then set to bagging up toiletries, sweeping the warehouse and finally sorting out the hot drinks donations into separate crates.
We then had a run back with a cashpoint squat / lunge stop - it's a new one even for me! The roads were so quiet we didn't need to use pedestrian crossings. It'd be nice if they were always like that! On our team stretch we were joined by a friendly cat who wanted to say hello to everyone (I took the pic in portrait mode - oops so it's on the facebook page).
A few people headed back home whilst the majority stayed to sample the delights of the local curry house and increase their heart rate watching the second half of the football. The curry was great...
2 G's on our shirts, the foodbank is now gleaming. We crated up desserts, Carly's face was beaming
(with apologies to the Lightening Seeds!)
Next week we're helping out at Sophie's work with a uni clearout. Sign up here. See you then
Happy running everyone!
