Five runners ran 6.3km to help the Canal & River Trust
Tonight we made another visit to Belgrave Lock to help the Canal & River Trust make life better by the water. We celebrated Sharon's debut parkrun at Braunstone over the weekend, it certainly sounds like she might become hooked to another great free weekly run!
Our low turnout didn't appear to impact our painting output as we stormed ever further along the water's edge staining the wooden sleepers at an impressive rate. The pleasant conditions made it yet another evening of peaceful work and chatting as four of us got stuck into the sleepers while Oliver from the Canal & River Trust cleared the greenery ahead of us and Mel and Rich went on a litter pick. Two jobs in one done in impressive style once again!
Next week we're off to help Sustrans on the National Cycle Network, do come and join us for some more fun, fitness and good deeding in our local community!
Short report tonight, two parents evenings and a GoodGym in the last week of term is taking its toll on poor little me!
Happy running, HD
