Last night 6 runners plus Bodhi ran 6km to spread the word of GoodGym delivering leaflets in the local area.
5 met at our usual meeting spot outside the leisure centre before heading off towards Kingfield where we were joined just in time by Sally-Ann making up the 6. None of us recognised her as she wasn’t wearing her trademark fluorescent jacket and it was like meeting a brand new person!
We split into 2 teams taking both sides of Elmbridge Lane where we split with one team heading down Queen Elizabeth Way and the other taking care of Sundridge Road. We then regrouped before smashing out Howard Road and the task was complete in double quick time.
Nick had the bright idea of heading up to Ashwood Road to do some hill climbs where we all did as many repeats as we could in 15 minutes which was quite hard and everyone did well with most people completing 5 repeats to ensure we all finished exhausted before heading off home.
Next week we will be heading back to the allotment to tidy the plot and turn over the soil so get signed up if you can make it. Also don’t forget to volunteer for Junior Parkrun on Sunday; they really appreciate our continued support each week.
