Laura, Angela and Sheila welcomed Rosie to her first ever Goodgym mission at Braywick Heath Nurseries. Welcome, Rosie, and well done for entering into the Goodgym ethos by cycling to the task! Ben, the plant manager, set us to work tidying up the outside area. Laura tidied up the plants for sale, removing any perennials which had died back, to be looked after during the winter until they start to grow again in spring. Rosie, Angela and Sheila hoed the beds around the perimeter, clearing the weeds away so they can be mulched over winter. By then we had earned ourselves a tea break and were treated to some birthday cake from Laura. Yum! Sheila and Angela then cleared the weeds on the rockery and removed some of the oak leaves that had fallen on the plants in the sales area. Looking up, there are many more to fall! It was great to meet Rosie and hope to see you at future community missions
