Splash and carry
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.
- Friday, 9th of February 2024
Ms D has a number of health conditions and cannot leave the house. It was another day of dodging puddles as the rain started falling as I set off for the mission.
Oaktree Anglican Fellowship is one of the Ealing Foodbank client centres. I arrived and I was welcomed by the volunteers running the warm hub. It was quick and simple handing over Ms D’s voucher and then I was showed to the tables set up with fresh fruit and vegetables, non- perishable canned food and milk tea and coffee, to collect items for Ms D and her relative.
A wobbly cycle with two very full panniers just a short way to Ms D’s followed. Ms D is vegetarian but apart from that is very happy to receive any food items provided.
