Not only did we carry on with our weeding of beds and paths plus creation of new beds, a long-awaited improvement of the composting system had reached top of the list this week. Vaguely Northern Darren and Phill moved existing compost and expertly lined bin 3 to enable a better composting process, then layered and soaked the green, brown and cardboard layers before wrapping it all up. Updates to follow...
Jennifer found us for her first ever session and teamed up with Jason, who's now an old hand on four good deeds, to weed Ella's bed even though she'd split on us to go to our rivals, the Northern Slopes commish.
Liz and Melanie carried on with general weeding including a huge bramble growing through the not-working irrigation in the not-poly tunnel.
Produce of choice this week were chard, courgettes, beans, apples and pears with Phill winning the competition of most interesting transportation method, v large courgette in cargo pants side pocket whilst cycling.
Back again next week but can't promise the same awesome red sun and sunset!
