Tonight we headed into our designated parks to do a litter pick. Firstly it was off to Brueton park, the slightly longer way to up the km, then onto Tudor Grange, picking up litter all the way.
For tonight’s fitness session we did circuits. First off was thirty seconds of high knees, followed by a flat out sprint to the top of the path and back down, then onto thirty seconds of basketball squats, followed by another sprint. It was then onto the benches for two sets of thirty second push-ups with a thirty second rest and two sets of thirty second tricep dips.
Once recovered, there was just enough time for a quick running game. Splitting into two groups of three, the idea is to be the quickest team to get to the other side of the path - relay style! It’s not all for fun though, as this helps burn fat, build muscle, and boosts Metabolic Rate.
It was then time to go back to base and have a quick stretch off. Rather than heading straight home, we enjoyed some cakes that Meera’s mum had baked this week - they were greatly appreciated and very worthy of tonight’s pun (Thanks Rachel)!
Next week we will be back at The Courtyard helping to spruce up their common room.
