Soggy Shopping
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Thursday, 30th of April 2020
On a rainy Thursday afternoon I cycled to pick up some food items and cleaning products for Mrs L. She had a particular list so I tried a few shops to track down her items. Unfortunately, in the queue for the first shop the heavens opened and I got absolutely drenched but in the process I spotted a family friend of mine in the queue and we had a nice catch up about how we were coping with lockdown, which was a nice silver lining!
Despite trying a few shops I wasn't able to get Mrs. L everything she wanted but we agreed on some alternatives and she was very grateful that I'd gone out in the rain to help her. We had a nice chat and she said she hoped I signed up to shop for her again if she needed anything else. I said I'd keep an eye out for any future shopping missions for her.
