Sofa so good
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Thursday, 9th of January 2020
Someone from the Red Cross let us in and, once we’d found the light switches, we set about moving bags and boxes from the living room to the bedroom. We had to leave room in the bedroom for the main event, a leather sofa which we successfully upended and manoeuvred through two doors. Mission accomplished, we talked to our Red Cross friend who needed a taxi to take two walking frames back to a hospital. Rather than wait an hour (!) she decided to take them on the tube so we gave her a hand and all walked back to the station together. Apologies to my GoodGym partner for my great photo. As she said, ‘Where’s Latoya?!
