So mulch to do, so little time
13 GoodGymers made their way 3.0km to help the Chestnuts Park in Haringey.

This week 13 GoodGym-ers braved the wet weather to run 4 kilometres around Haringey to help move mulch at Chestnuts Park.
After a quick warm up, focussing on getting the blood moving, heart raised and limbs loosened, we were off on a run one mile down round the bend. Dave and Niamh helped me lead the pack, while Sarah and Wai were our trusty back-markers.
Just before we reached our destination, we took a quick pause for the gang to lunge their way back to Sarah. The walking lunges seemed to slow the team down dramatically for the final 100 or so meters to the park.
Once on site we were greeted by the wonderful task owners who told us what to do. Dave, Emily and Emine took charge of mulch moving, transporting huge amounts from one end of the park to the other, whilst everybody else got to work weeding around the trees and laying the transported mulch in place.
We were finished in record time, meaning there was extra time for extra trees before we had to return our tools and say our goodbyes.
The time had come for the traditional (twice makes a tradition, right?) lap of the park, which Sarah kindly set up as a segment on Strava! We marched to our starting point and I explained the rules and the hazards.
Francis was our speediest runner this week, making it first back, with Dave and Sarah quick on his trail.
We then did a few burpees, dusted off the gravel and set off back home. Niamh kept me company at the front again, with Abigail and Paul.
Next week Dave will be covering while I'm in Spain. You'll be running around Lordship Lane to help Lordship Hub. Sign up here.
It's getting darker sooner and sooner, so the time has come to start thinking about head torches. Amazon has loads. You can also sometimes find some in Poundland. I really recommend getting one, especially for when we're running down backstreets that are usually less well lit – and for the tasks as we start having to dig in the dark and whatnot.
This week's pun was a team effort, high fives all around
