Mission

So much material, so little time...

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

A mission to drop and then hang some new curtains for the friendly Mrs S became so much more than that for Reuben and I today, as Mrs S proved to be a story teller of some skill, having clearly lived a long and very interesting life - "don't get old" she told us as we where shown into her living room, and where her health is perhaps now letting her down, her mind is still clearly as sharp as a dressmaker's needle!

So it was that we got to work on dropping the existing curtains from the rail and hanging a new thicker set (that thankfully already had the hooks attached), to the entertaining background of Mrs S's story telling of a life well lived, and involving quite a bit of royalty too...

Before long we'd completed the task with the new curtains now hung in place, and after moving the furniture back, and not before Mrs S had told us one more (juicy) story, we bid her farewell, and wished her well for her eye operation next week.
