Slug & Lettuce
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Friday, 11th of September 2020
What was only a 12 minute jog for Sam from his flat, was a journey for Isabelle. Coming over from another GoodGym task in Southwark, this was her first exploration into Lewisham Borough 😲 so, of course she was late! 😝
She stood Sam up for 10 minutes, but he's used to it.... 😢 But not to worry, she found him getting stuck into the task already....the task of fixing the strimmer that Ms. J gave him.
Ms. J had asked them to tackle her front garden and they were only armed with their gardening gloves, black bin bags and later, a kitchen knife (as that strimmer didn't last long.... Made more noise than cut grass)!
Isabelle and Sam took turns in putting out weeds, grass, Spring Onions and random other plants whilst the other bagged the bin bags. Isabelle seemed to noticed the small things like the slug family (with all the aunts, uncles and cousins), spiders and wasps/bees, which she seemed to run away from 👀 Sam was happily destroying everything in his path; taking no prisoners. Even the small tree went upon Ms. J's request. With no pulling power left in him, he cut the trucks with a kitchen knife 🔪
They cleared up Ms. J's front garden in about an hour and she was so pleased and hopes to keep on top of it once she gets her new fence next month.
Isabelle and Sam departed off into the sunset to enjoy the beginnings of their respective weekends.

Haha 😂 you made it sound like my being late was my fault. Where is the disclaimer??
Sam I was with Isabelle and her previous mission and ran late so domino's effect there, sorry. See you next time
I think we can allow being at another task to be the perfect excuse for a little lateness! Great transformation of the garden!
Well done both!
