Even during the Easter Holidays we are keen to get back to school!
This week was going to be a big task, but with GoodGym Woking taking control it was completed with no problems. A massive thank you and well done to everyone for putting in the hardwork last night and managing to fill the skip and more. Last night we welcomed Anne's son, Philippe who was visiting from San Francisco, he dug in and was a big help to the task and brought brains to the group.
So last night's task was to help out a local school Beaufort Primary School the front graden was in need of some TLC. We split in to two teams and got straight to work. One team taking the entrance and the other taking on a classroom's garden. The entrance to the school had some bushes to be dug out which were causing problems to the drains. This was no problem for Mark and George. The rest of the team took to work to the classroom's garden which had some old bug hotels to skip and an all round tidy up.
The Bug hotel is now open for business.
Between us we managed to fill the skip up pretty quickly and made such a difference to the place. The front entrance is now clear of bushes and the garden is now tidy with Anne on stick patrol and Barbara on sweeping duty. Leaving the heavy lifting to Philippe and Holly.
Barbara's Shortcuts
We did all of this after a 3.6km run to get there. It wouldn't be a GoodGym Woking experience without the shortcut knowledge of Barbara. After her last "Shortcut" she had some making up to do. So after we had finished the task we let Barbara take the lead and take us on a shortcut back to base. With only a waterlogged field to cross , she managed to cut off half a km - So you are now forgiven!!
A big Thank you
We've already received a MASSIVE thank you from Keith and was so impressed by how much work we have done - So Thank You all!!
Next Week we are heading back to school to finish off and to take on some painting tasks. This will make a big difference to the school and we are hoping that the children and staff notice the difference.
Good Luck
GOODLUCK to Holly who is taking on the Alpine Brutal this weekend and also we would like to wish George a good luck for his training, he will be racing the FOX Ultra next weekend!!
