Sheer is good to be back
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hounslow.
- Thursday, 29th of June 2023
A little over 12 months since my last visit to Mr L, I ran the short distance through Chiswick to help clear his garden once again.
Mr L can’t manage the garden himself and is grateful to GoodGym for the help’. Although a year has passed we picked up the conversation where we had left it the last time I visited. Mr L remembered that his old sheers were very much on their last legs and without a rake it was hard to clear the greenery, especially the brambles. Once again the brambles had grown through the fence and were towering over us as we went to survey what needed to be cleared for Mr L to be able to get into his garden again. He presented me with a new pair of sheers still in their wrapper and a shiny new rake.
With brand new tools it was sheer pleasure cutting back the overgrown vines, thistles and humungous brambles. Three bags full of sticky weed and prickly brambles later I called it a day. A follow up mission with 2 people would clear the garden fully for Mr L now he has the shiny new tools.
