Seal of approval
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Friday, 27th of March 2020
On a sunny Friday, three runners met to help Mrs A get one step closer to coming home from hospital.
On arrival, we met the staff member from the hospital who was providing access to the property - we caught up on how things are going with the NHS and GoodGym at the moment, before slapping on some hand sanitiser and diving in.
Mrs A is almost ready to come home, and with the hospitals keener than ever to keep beds available, GoodGym were asked if runners could move furniture to make room for the delivery of the furniture that's required for Mrs A to come home safely and comfortably.
Abi and Latoya started off by clearing space in the living room, so it'd be ready to house the 'spare' furniture for the time being. I made a start in the bedroom, disassembling the bed and checking out the wardrobe and chair which also needed moving. Soon enough, we brought everything through - the bedroom was nice and clear for Mrs A, and the living room was safe to navigate, between some stacked furniture.
We enjoyed chatting throughout, and really admired Mrs A's home (especially the titular seal), and endeavoured to distance ourselves even for our report photos.
Stay well everybody, and make sure your mission preferences are up to date if you want to hear about missions like this, and all the other new types going on these days!
