Scrubbing up nicely
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Lewisham.

I met Caroline from Food2You at the Healthy Living and Learning Centre and she gave me a bit of a tour and explained what Food2You does: delivering food for older people through Age UK. They’re making extra efforts to stay super hygienic during this period so are disinfecting their delivery vans and the plastic boxes they pack the food in between every delivery they do. A pretty big task given the huge number of deliveries they do every week, so Goodgym are making a real difference by helping with the food shopping and scrubbing everything down afterwards. Today was cleaning day: I lost count but I think I disinfected about 50 plastic boxes and their lids which was a strangely satisfying way to spend an afternoon. It was lovely working in the shady garden at the back of the centre and Caroline was very welcoming and appreciative. This was my first task outside of Lambeth and it was a real delight.
