Sand, slides and intervals
21 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.
- Monday, 25th of April 2016
- Led by Laura Williams
It was a big group of Tower Hamlets runners who braved the unseasonally freezing weather to get out into Victoria Park for this week's group run.
We were greeted by the park rangers with brooms and rakes to tidy up the sandy playground - a task only made more challenging by day's rain! Everyone got really stuck in, resulting in a few bits of broken kit but a markedly tidier set of paths around the play area. We really showed that sand who was boss.
The fun didn't stop there: a few relays and drills using the park benches and stairs were rewarded with a cheeky trip down the big slides! We ran off with soggy bottoms to do some intervals around the park and then back to base for a quick warm down. Another great week.
