Root and branch overhaul for Healey Green Veg
20 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help the Heeley Green Veg in Sheffield.
- Monday, 23rd of September 2019
- Led by Chris Dyer
Eighteen Good Gym runners braved the rain and the dark, and the hills of Healey , to help Healey Green Veg clear a derelict garden so that it can be brought bag in to use. Gareth from Regather joined us with a selection of tools and we set about digging, hacking, pulling and barrowing: there was just one instruction - 'I want to see bare earth!' So we dug and we hacked and we pulled and we barrowed and the rain fell and some people got so into the task they had to be persuaded to stop. Then time for a group photo and it was all down hill back to the Showroom to celebrate Stephen and Kim's birthday with cake.
