Risk it for a biscuit
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Kingston upon Thames.
- Monday, 27th of July 2020
On my trusty three speed Raleigh bike I took to the windy and wet roads along the beautiful riverside from Teddington to Kingston and up through to Surbiton - enjoying all the newly laid out cycle lanes - oooo!
Ms S was ready and waiting with her tin of money and shopping list. I made my way down to Waitrose, donned my face mask and started shopping. It became quickly apparent that the items on the list were written to help me round the shop in the most efficient way. Biscuits were first as that's the aisle at the end of the shop I entered from - very clever work from Ms S.
I ticked off all the items even the special variety of shortbreads biscuits. Sadly no mini courgettes this time! Regardless, she was very pleased and grateful for the help.
After dropping off her shopping I bid her farewell and cycled back along the river, in the rain, home to a cup a tea but no biscuits for me :(
