8 runners ran to pick litter in a Chelmsford's car park
For our second run of 2022, we were excited to meet our two newest runners Charlie and Joe, and of course to see Jenny's shiny leggings again!
We carefully jogged down the high street with our litter pickers towards the car park near B&M where I had recently seen a build up of litter. We stopped jogging and started picking further up the river than planned after spotting a couple of half drunk beer cans.
Rich and David found a discarded B&M trolley and couldn't help but get in and roll around in it for a photo opportunity, and then a pair of Ray-Bans, and Andy somehow found a 1p coin - what a selection of treats.
After we collected three-ish bags of litter, Rich led us on a fartlek session looping around the river bridges to warm us up again. We all pushed ourselves (as much as we wanted to), with Joe and Joel really pushing for those sprints!
Thanks for joining us tonight to help keep Chelmsford clean, and see you all soon!
