Repeat the Cycle
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.
- Monday, 21st of September 2020
This evening’s sunny mission was a carbon copy of one about a month ago (I guess that’s how repeat prescriptions work…) to drop off some liquid based medicines for Miss Y. As it was rush hour-ish, I thought I’d take the slightly longer but quieter route on the cycleway that goes past the Beckton Alps. Yes, Beckton does have its own mountain range, although strictly speaking it’s now just the one Alp and even more strictly speaking it was created from local industrial waste rather than being a natural geographical feature. Once home to a dry ski slope, which closed in 2001, sadly leaving this part of East London a bit short of winter sports facilities.
Snow was far from my mind this evening though, lovely to be out in what might be the last of the summer weather while delivering Y’s meds. She was on good form, enjoying the weather too and the opportunity to sit and chat to neighbours from her front garden.

Wonderful mission Hilary! Glad you were able to make the most of the weather.
Informative. We could have hosted the GG Winter Olympics here.
