Relight my fire π‘π₯
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 4th of March 2021
Todayβs mission brought a double bill of power topups - Ms Y needed both her gas and electricity cards topping up to keep her home warm and well lit. I intended to be ~light~ and early, but a busy morning at work delayed me some-watt... better a little late than never I suppose! So, I popped over to Ms Yβs flat to pick up the topup card before a quick walk across the road to the co-op. Straight to the till I went with cards in hand, and I was soon on my way back to Ms Y.
As always, she was very grateful for the help. We chatted a little on the doorstep before I left, discussing how cold it had gotten over the past week & how we were feeling about the lockdown / current vaccination situation. Thankfully Ms Y has had her first dose already, and she was telling me about how she is trying to combat misinformation that is spreading in her friendship circle about the vaccines. We both agree - theyβre safe, they are bringing us closer to normality and they are an astonishing feat of science. π§ͺ It is incredible what the ~brightest~ scientists in the world can do when we all pull together!
