Relaying the Paving

It was time for take 2 of the moving the paving slabs from a kind volunteers front garden to the PNK Garden task! It was a longer run this week so we set off promptly to make sure we had plenty of time for loading and unloading.
We dropped the "heavy lifters" off on our way to the PNK Garden and eagerly awaited the arrival of the paving slabs. It wasn't long before we had the first text to say the first load was on the way. We had plenty of tasks to do at the garden whilst we were waiting (filling flower beds, dismantling pallets, oiling picnic benches, sowing seeds, weeding...) and the other group had chance to practice their dance moves!
Paving slabs unloaded and we repeated the process twice more. On the last load, the first group raced the paving stones back to the garden, no speed limits broken but they did arrive in time to help us unload!
After a quick group photo and running slightly late, it was time to head back to Glass Mill with our mini carrots! We achieved a lot on Monday, Darryl's longest run and moving all those paving slabs, the volunteers at PNK Garden would never have been able to move all those paving slabs without us!
