Rain, Pain, No Shopping To Gain
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Thursday, 3rd of September 2020
Mrs M wasn’t expecting me, and had already had someone else come and help her with ‘half of the shopping’. I said I was more than happy to help with the other half, but she was very insistent that I didn’t need to despite my best encouragement. She didn’t want me to have to travel through the rain ‘all this way’ (having already cycled through the West London drizzle... bless her). She was very sweet though, and it’s nice to know lots of people were looking out for her being on her own. She was also very grateful for my efforts anyway, and wanted to thank whoever had referred me to come to her; so thanks Enable Leisure and Culture.
(Photo is from last Thursday, after another GoodGym mission which I also cycled and got wet from - unfortunately no rainbow this time. Just a soggy bottom and aching knees from cycling up a hill).
