Here's what Ms K of BR1 had to say about the mission:

"Hi I just wanted to say that the volunteer that you sent me, Ingrid, on Thursday 25th July, was wonderful. She got stuck in to the holly leaf clearing with no complaints and did a marvelous job so much so I nearly burst into tears and then despite my reservations she also carried all the heavy manure bags up to the top of my very steep garden followed by a bit of pruning from overgrown shrub and yew over my stairs for easier access. I hope that she was ok after the heavy lifting and I cant thank her enough or your organisation for actioning that for me. I am so grateful! Thank you Ms K"

Ms K of BR1, mission beneficiary

Luckily the heavy rain as I made my way to the mission stopped on arrival. My first job was to clear leaves from a bed, bag them up and place them in a skip. Next I carried six bags of compost up a steep path to the end of the garden. Finally I cut back overhanging shrubs to make the garden more accessible.
