Quick on the drawer
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Sunday, 23rd of June 2019
Race the Horse veteran Beth and James met one warm June morning for a mission to help Mrs M.
Our original brief was to put up a flatpack wardrobe, however we couldn't locate all the necessary bits and bobs to do this so we had to move on to plan B. I like alphabet games, don't you?
Plan B was installing a double-decker shoe storage drawer into the bottom of Mrs M's current wardrobe. This we achieved thanks to some determined analysis of the instruction booklet by James, the game-changing discovery of a screwdriver mid-assembly by Beth, and a key intervention from a humble butter knife. Plus a bit of good old fashioned bodily contortion.
With drawer in place, we withdrew and on our way out broke down some old boxes to make some more space in Mrs M's entranceway area. We then found a No Parking sign and parked ourselves beneath it for a selfie.
