🍬 Quality Feat 🍬
10 GoodGymers made their way to help the Elizabeth House Food Hub in Islington.
- Wednesday, 23rd of December 2020
- Led by Simon Fitzmaurice
Ten of us went along this Christmas Eve Eve to Elizabeth House in Highbury, to help out with their festive foodbank.
Several started a bit early, sorting the last of the remaining donations of bread, fruit and veg into their appropriate boxes, then when the cavalry of arrived, the proper work began!
Laura and Jack were in the kitchen creating boxes of biscuits to be distributed, meanwhile the rest of us did the same in the hall with Quality Street chocolates. We made pretty short work of creating 80 boxes with 10 sweets each. Goodness knows how many chocolates that is in total…
To keep this vital resource operating safely in a city that’s under Tier 4 lockdown and with a variant strain of Covid-19 on the loose, it was really important to keep things clean and serene; so before we left we were all put to work with sprays and blue roll to make sure every seat, table and doorhandle was spotless.
GG will be back on the 24th, and then on the 30th December, so maybe see you then!
